Community Education Program
Our Community Education Programs are the cornerstone of Ubuntu Legacy Community Care, designed to enlighten and empower. We provide a variety of learning opportunities ranging from basic literacy courses to vocational training, all aimed at fostering skills for a better future. With a focus on accessibility and quality, our education initiatives pave the way for personal development and community enrichment.
Health & Wellness Outreach
Committed to the holistic wellbeing of our community members, Ubuntu Legacy Community Care extends comprehensive Health & Wellness Outreach services. These include primary healthcare, mental health support, and wellness education, ensuring that every individual receives the care they need. Our tailored health programs cultivate a thriving, supportive environment conducive to sustainable and collective wellbeing.


Youth Empowerment Program
Empowering Afrocentric Black youth to understand and celebrate their unique identity is at the core of our program. Through culturally sensitive workshops and discussions, participants engage in a journey of self-discovery, building a strong foundation for personal growth. Our program addresses the impact of discrimination, those who have experienced conflict with the law, our program focuses on reintegration and restoration, nurturing a successful mindset is key to unlocking the full potential of our participants and practical skills are essential for building a pathway to success. Our program offers training in relevant skills, including vocational skills, leadership development, and entrepreneurship.
We are dedicated to enhancing the well-being of our seniors through innovative and comprehensive programs. Our non-profit organization takes pride in offering a Senior's Day Program designed to foster mental wellness, combat loneliness, enhance cognitive abilities, and promoting graceful aging involves addressing physical, mental, and emotional aspects of well-being. Our Senior's Day Program integrates holistic practices such as gentle exercises, nutritional guidance, and relaxation techniques. This holistic approach ensures that seniors receive comprehensive support for a healthier and more fulfilling life.


Seniors Health Advocate
Lorna King-Bobb RN, M.Ed, BScN, is a renowned clinical instructor, professor, and healthcare leader Recently Retired after over 50 years service. Lorna Joined Our Team As Our Seniors Health Advocate.
Lorna's Responsibilities as Seniors Health Advocate:
Primary Responsibilities:

Health Education Leadership: Design and deliver workshops on senior health topics (Alzheimer's/Dementia, isolation/loneliness, chronic disease management)

Health Advocacy: Represent members' health concerns and needs to healthcare providers and community partners

Program Development: Create evidence-based health and wellness programming tailored to Afro-Canadian seniors

Resource Navigation: Help members navigate healthcare systems and connect with appropriate services
